Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to perform Storm Water Compliance Management Services at VASDHS. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining, updating, and implementing a comprehensive five-year Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) in accordance with EPA Phase II Stormwater Regulations, the Clean Water Act (CWA), and NPDES.
- Conducting post-construction site surveys and labeling storm drains.
- Updating and implementing a maintenance plan for the storm drain system, including annual and quarterly inspections, monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Identifying and communicating pollutants and their sources, including those from construction.
- Conducting annual illicit connection detection inspections.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of Best Management Practices (BMPs) and post-construction stabilization BMPs.
- Monitoring and documenting storm water drainage, site grading, and erosion control plans.
- Developing procedures to assess and prioritize the MS4 storm drain system, including catch basins, pipes, and pump infrastructure.
- Providing educational materials, incident reporting information, and plans to reduce discharges from pressure washing and landscape irrigation.
