Scope of Work (Based on Draft SOW)

The primary objective is to conduct a life-course epidemiology study on Vietnam-era women Veterans. This includes:

  • Assessing late-life health, functional status, disability, long-term care needs, and VA/non-VA service utilization.
  • Examining the influence of warzone service and PTSD on cumulative physiological burden and health trajectories.
  • Archiving the Health VIEWS dataset as a VA research resource.
  • Tasks involve project management, sample processing, address verification, mail and Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) survey administration, data capture, processing, quality control, and final data delivery.

Special Requirements (from Draft SOW)

  • Demonstrable experience conducting large-scale surveys with Veterans, specifically women and Vietnam-era Veterans.
  • Ability to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) with the VA.
  • Maintenance of an internal Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Mental health safety and warm-handoff capabilities for distressed respondents.
  • Use of a secure CATI platform.
  • Strict adherence to VA data security, privacy, and FISMA requirements.
