Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor and equipment for on-site shredding and disposal of approximately 5,000 pounds of material annually. Services are required bi-monthly (twice per month) at the VA Anchorage Regional Office. Key requirements include:
- Providing 64-gallon secure, lockable bins (approx. 200 lbs capacity each) with keys/combinations for VA staff.
- Shredding equipment must produce crosscut particles meeting NAID processing standards (5/8-inch by 1/2-inch) or pulverize/disintegrate paper using a 3/32-inch security screen. Smaller cut specifications are encouraged.
- Providing a "Certificate of Destruction" after each service visit.
- Submitting a monthly invoice detailing bins collected, weight, and service dates.
- Adhering to strict confidentiality for sensitive VBA information (PII, PHI, financial, etc.) in accordance with VA directives, HIPAA, and the Privacy Act.
