Quick Summary

The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive, has issued a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) to identify contractors capable of providing Reasonable Accommodations (RA) Support Services. This RFI aims to gather industry feedback and identify potential sources for a contemplated new procurement. Responses are due by April 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.

Purpose

This notice is for market research purposes only and is not a solicitation for proposals. The DOT seeks to procure contractor support services to assist with RA Services, supporting the Agency's reasonable accommodations program, disability program managers, and accommodations case managers. The RFI will help DOT determine the best procurement approach for these services.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will provide RA Support Services, playing a critical role in reviewing reasonable accommodation requests, evaluating disability documentation (including medical information), and drafting decision letters. These letters will recommend approval, alternative accommodation, denial, or request additional information. Services will be performed remotely off-site. Key personnel will include a Program Manager and RA Support Analysts. Analysts require a minimum of 5 years' experience as an attorney or 3 years in HR/labor relations with RA processing experience, along with technical expertise in relevant laws, regulations, and assistive technology.
