Scope of Work

• Recarpeting: Removal and replacement of approximately 1,450 SF of carpet in court chambers and the jury room, including furniture moving and disposal. This also entails abatement of approximately 560 SF of asbestos tile and mastic in the Jury Room. New broadloom carpet (Bentley Kings Road, "Sapphire Blue") will be installed.
• IT Office Remodel: Remodeling of the Bankruptcy Court's IT office, which includes demolition of existing partitions, relocation of electrical and data lines, new wall construction, installation of new vinyl plank flooring and base, painting, ceiling tile replacement, new data box covers, six new LED light fixtures, and new window coverings. This remodel also requires asbestos and lead paint abatement (approx. 220 SF).
• Abatement: Comprehensive asbestos and lead abatement activities in both the jury room and the IT office remodel areas, adhering to GSA Base Lead Management Requirements and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• General Requirements: Compliance with Universal Scope Requirements (USR), historic preservation guidelines (due to the building's National Register of Historic Places listing), and Wage Determination SD20260028 for Minnehaha County, SD. The contractor must be licensed for asbestos abatement in South Dakota.

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.
• Estimated Value: $25,000 - $100,000.
• NAICS Code: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (Size Standard: $45 Million).
• Period of Performance: Substantial completion within 30 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP), with final contract completion within 10 calendar days of substantial completion. An additional 30 days is required for badging.
• Liquidated Damages: $61 per calendar day.
• Bonds: A payment bond is required if the contract exceeds $35,000 but does not exceed $150,000. A bid guarantee is not required.
