The certification is required as part of the vessel's USCG Certificate of Inspection renewal.

Contractor Requirements

Contractors must be Kidde factory certified and capable of servicing all Kidde components, providing new or factory-rebuilt Kidde components. Additionally, contractors must be USCG-approved for inspecting, testing, and certifying firefighting systems on inspected marine vessels.
