Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for designing a blasting pattern, drilling, and blasting to produce a minimum of 50,000 cubic yards of 16-24-inch riprap. All work must comply with Reclamation Safety and Health Standards (RSHS), ATF, IME, OSHA, and MSHA regulations. Key tasks include:
- Developing and submitting a conceptual blasting plan for approval at least 30 days prior to bringing explosives on-site.
- Maintaining and providing detailed blast records.
- Executing blasting operations from the highest elevation down, ensuring stable high walls and managing flyrock.
- All workers must possess Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Certification (Form 5000-23).
- The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary Federal, State, and Local permits.
