Scope of Work

This solicitation requires non-personal services for the collection, disposal, and incineration of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW), including Sharps Containers and Special Medical Waste (SMW). The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, vehicles, RMW bins (e.g., 200-gallon, 4-wheeled reusable bins), and equipment. Key deliverables include:

Collection, disposal, and incineration of RMW, including Pathological Waste, Human Blood and Blood Products, Cultures and Stocks of Infectious Agents, Contaminated Sharps, Isolation Wastes, and Contaminated Animal Carcasses.
Transport of SMW to an approved offsite incinerator and RMW to an approved, secure landfill.
Compliance with MEDCOM Regulation 40-35 and all Federal, State, and local laws, including ASTM 1709 and Maryland DOT 1999 standards for bags.
Provision of signed manifests, destruction reports, and weight tickets.
Maintenance of a Quality Control Plan (QCP) and adherence to the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) standards, which include 100% AQL for manifest provision, destruction reports, and weight tickets.
