Statement of Work (SOW)

To eliminate water leakage, improve durability, weather resistance, and appearance of the exterior envelope of the building at White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery.

• Demolish and remove two center chimneys below roof sheathing level and the northeast chimney down the side of the building.

• Remove and dispose of existing membrane roofing, siding, trim, downspouts, and associated materials.

• Repair or replace damaged sheathing and framing, including up to 3 feet laterally on both sides of the northeast chimney.

• Install new EPDM flat roofing and architectural asphalt shingles (Owens Corning Tru Definition Duration, Estate Gray).

• Install new exterior wall vapor barrier (Tyvek Commercial Wrap or approved equal).

• Install new siding (premium grade lap vinyl, minimum .046" thickness, 30+ year warranty, color to be determined by station), trim, soffit, fascia, and flashing.

• Reinstall vent covers, gutters, and downspouts per original configuration.

• Work includes limited water damage repair in the area of the northeast chimney.

• Work must be completed within 120 calendar days from contract award.

• Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (Federal Holidays excluded).

• Location: White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery, 1087 Main Street E, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.

• Warranty of the work performed shall last 2 years after project completion.

• Contractor must coordinate all disruptive work with the COR at least 48 hours in advance.

• Occupants will remain in the building during construction; contractor must ensure safe ingress/egress and maintain emergency access routes.

• All work must comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations (including EPA and OSHA).

• Contractor is responsible for all material deliveries and debris removal and disposal offsite.

• Measurements and quantities must be confirmed by a site visit.

• Final layout and finish color(s) for vinyl siding shall be reviewed and approved by the COR.

• Quoters must provide evidence of working with vinyl siding, asphalt shingle roofing, and EPDM roofing.

• Site visits are highly recommended.

• Material data sheets for all products.

• Details of water-tight transition from EPDM to shingle roofing.

• Findings of any water damage including costs to repair.

• Construction schedule.

• Manufacturer warranties.

• Installer certifications.

• Work safety plan.
