Source Approval Request (SAR) Program
Companies wishing to become an "Approved Source" for these items may submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer / Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package requires technical data demonstrating the prospective contractor's ability to manufacture the product to the same or higher quality standards as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The contractor is responsible for documenting and demonstrating their product's equivalence or superiority to currently approved items.
