Scope of Work
The R&M engineering support services include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting root cause analysis of in-service failures.
- Developing and updating preventative maintenance procedures.
- Recommending design modifications to improve reliability.
- Providing on-site technical assistance to maintenance crews.
- Sustaining Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Age Exploration (AE) programs.
- Performing failure analysis, follow-up analysis, and independent technical reviews.
- Providing engineering and technical expertise for avionics systems, aircraft structures, and mechanical systems.
- Developing technical procedures and updating technical data.
- Conducting supportability analyses and research for repairable items.
- Resolving electrical, avionics, and EMI/EMC deficiencies.
- Identifying hazards through safety analysis.
- Providing rapid response for deficiency, grounded aircraft, and mishap support.
- Evaluating and inserting new technology for R&M improvements.
- Developing and providing prototypes or pre-production items.
- Modifying/changing/updating engineering drawing packages, Technical Orders (TO), Flight Manuals, and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO).
- Investigating failure modes for low Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) components.
Contractors are responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment at their facility or a subcontractor's facility. Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided as necessary per individual task orders. The contractor's facility must be located in the local area of Robins Air Force Base.

Eligibility & Submission
