The Department of the Navy, NAVFACSYSCOM MID-ATLANTIC, has suspended the Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services to reline Fire Water Storage Tank 558 at Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle, Colts Neck, NJ. Original Purpose & Scope
This opportunity, originally a Total Small Business Set-Aside, sought contractors to repaint the interior and exterior of the 300,000-gallon Fire Water Storage Tank 558. The scope included media blasting for paint removal, surface preparation, application of a new three-coat paint system, and hazardous waste management. Amendments clarified contractor responsibilities for pit welding/filling, testing the cathodic protection system (before and after work), removing residual water after government drainage, and replacing the roof vent and overflow pipe.
