Project Overview
This project involves the comprehensive remodeling of the Joint Operations Center. The objective is to deliver a complete and fully functioning facility, including all necessary construction, systems, and finishes. The work will be performed in cooperation with the Government of Costa Rica.
Scope of Work
The scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Demolition of existing structures and debris removal.
- Installation of new flooring, including trenches for electrical/data connections.
- Installation of suspended ceiling systems, coordinated with other building systems.
- Wall finishing, including removal of existing finishes, rendering, and PVC skirting.
- Installation of security and fire systems, such as fire alarm conduits, access doors, biometric/facial recognition systems, and evacuation signage.
- Fabrication and installation of screen mounting structures.
- Comprehensive electrical and telecommunications system installations, including conduit, cabling, connections, and extending electrical service, all compliant with applicable codes.
- The project specifically excludes furniture and the supply of the Main Rack.

Special Requirements & Compliance
Bidders must meet stringent requirements, including:
- Submission of CVs for required disciplines, demonstrating professional experience and certifications.
- A Project Manager/Lead Engineer residing in Costa Rica during construction.
- Pricing must be inclusive of all direct and indirect costs.
- Required insurances: Defense Base Act (DBA) (if applicable), Work Risk Insurance Policy, and Civil Liability Insurance.
- Contractor must be licensed and certified for engineering and construction services in Costa Rica, with local preference given.
