Scope of Work
BNL seeks a qualified vendor to reproduce the 8618, 80 KW High Power Triode tube. This effort includes developing sufficient drawings and technical documentation to fabricate the tube to remanufactured specifications, providing a complete drawing package, and producing all necessary manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and build instructions. All tubes must be manufactured using new materials and subassemblies to ensure long-term reliability. These triodes are critical components for RF amplifiers used in the BNL 200 MEV Linear Accelerator and are needed for the next 20 years.
Key Requirements & Deliverables
- Experience: Offerors must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in manufacturing or remanufacturing high-power grid-controlled electron tubes with anode dissipation power up to 80 KW. Reference documentation for experience is required.
- Warranty: A full replacement or repair warranty of 24 months or 3,000 hours of filament operation is required for the initial period. Option years require a standard 1 year or 3,000-hour warranty.
- Delivery: The first article unit must be delivered within 14 months After Receipt of Order (ARO), with final delivery of all units within 18 months ARO.
- Documentation: A full set of drawings must be provided upon completion of work.
