Scope of Work
The selected vendor will be responsible for fabricating remanufactured 8618, 80 KW High Power Triodes, which are essential for RF amplifiers in the BNL 200 MEV Linear Accelerator. Key requirements include:
- Reproducing the 8618, 80 KW High Power Triode tube, including NRE.
- Developing sufficient drawings and technical documentation to fabricate the tube to remanufactured specifications, providing a complete drawing package.
- Manufacturing all required fixtures, tooling, and build instructions.
- Ensuring all tubes are manufactured using new materials and subassemblies for long-term reliability.
- Delivering the first article unit within 14 months After Receipt of Order (ARO) and all final units within 18 months ARO.
- Providing a 24-month or 3,000-hour warranty for the initial period, and a 1-year or 3,000-hour warranty for option years. Offerors must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in manufacturing or remanufacturing high-power grid-controlled electron tubes with anode dissipation power up to 80 KW.

This requirement is subject to FAR Part 25, Buy American Act. A Small Business Subcontracting Plan is required for businesses expecting to exceed $900,000, with specific BSA goals provided.
