To remediate asbestos contamination in the USCG Station Channel Islands Main Station Building located at 4201 S. Victoria Ave., Oxnard, California 93035.

• CLIN 01 - BASE WORK:

  • Provide labor, materials, and equipment for asbestos remediation.
  • Implement Phase I Decontamination Work Plan developed by Millennium Consulting Associates (MECA).
  • Encapsulate and cover approximately 1,500 sq ft of disturbed tile and mastic in the second-floor north areas to allow occupancy until Phase II.
  • Full abatement of asbestos-containing tile flooring and mastic is to be completed under a separate Phase II contract.
  • Decontaminate above-ceiling plenums, mechanical heating and ventilation systems, and fixed interior building components and associated contents on both floors.
  • Prevent asbestos fiber migration and protect workers and the public.

  • Achieve visual and verification clearance prior to re-occupancy.

• CLIN 02: Provide separate pricing for mobilization, demobilization, project management, technical assistance, regulatory compliance, safety management, containment, handling, removal, storage, testing, transport, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM).
