Scope of Work
The requirement is divided into three tasks:
- Task 1: Lead-Containing Paint Removal Oversight and Air Monitoring — Contractor will provide on-site observation, inspection, air sampling (NIOSH 7300), visual clearance, and documentation (Inspection Report, Perimeter Air Monitoring Forms, Clearance letter).
- Task 2: Lead-Containing Paint Removal and Disposal-Mooring Buttons — Removal of lead paint from 339 mooring buttons (185 MacArthur, 154 Poe style) and 6 mooring cleats using sponge blasting and/or needle gun techniques. This includes providing all necessary equipment, heated environmental enclosures for cold weather, waste characterization, and disposal.
- Task 3: Prime and Painting of Mooring Buttons — After lead removal, priming and painting with specified products (Pro Industrial, Kem Kromik Universal Metal Primer, Brown/Red Oxide; Pro Industrial, Industrial Enamel HS Alkyd, Safety Yellow, or equivalents) per manufacturer's instructions, with no less than two paint applications.
