Quick Summary
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Arizona Water Science Center, is soliciting proposals for the dismantling and removal of discontinued cableway structures at two field locations: Cibecue Creek and Carrizo Creek. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial services. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for April 7, 2026, and proposals are due April 24, 2026, by 05:00 PM (PDT).
Scope of Work
This requirement involves the complete dismantling and removal of two discontinued cableway structures, including cables, saddle blocks, U-bars, A-frames, and all associated equipment. The contractor must haul away all debris, cut U-bars at the concrete surface, and return the areas to as close to natural as possible. Work is solely for dismantling and removal, not construction or alteration. Compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, is mandatory.
The work will be performed on White Mountain Apache Tribe lands. The contractor must coordinate site access in advance and will be escorted by Tribal and USGS representatives. Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) requirements of the White Mountain Apache Tribe apply, and the contractor is responsible for direct coordination with the Tribal TERO office for compliance, fees, reporting, and workforce provisions.
An additional cable segment (approx. 4 feet) at the Carrizo Creek site requires removal and disposal. Offerors must provide a separately priced option (Option Item 00030) for this work, which the Government may exercise at its discretion.
