Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the replacement of eight (8) worn or aged conveyor belts within the sandblasting system located at the Insulation Shop (X-57, Bldg. 2067) in Yokosuka. The scope is specifically for the conveyor belts, with new belts meeting or exceeding JIS K6322 #125/2PLY/350W/3.0+1.5 specifications.
Ancillary tasks include furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, and supervision; submitting a work schedule; verifying existing equipment functionality; conducting a gas inspection; disassembling and reassembling components for access; collecting blasting sand; and adjusting belt alignment. The contractor must conduct an operational test, witnessed by the Government, to confirm normal operation without misalignment or improper tension. A condition report for unrelated problems and a test report with material specifications are also required. While rollers and pulleys are out of scope for replacement, the contractor may adjust them for new belt alignment and must report any observed problems.
