Scope of Work
The project requires the contractor to provide all plant, labor, equipment, transportation, and tools for a Design-Build repair of the Kiddie Pool. Key tasks include:
- Pool Basin Repair: Prepare and repair the pool basin, sealing penetrations and cracks, cleaning, and applying fungicide/algaecide. Modify coping.
- Liner Installation: Install a 60-mil PVC liner (light blue, 15-year warranty) over the entire pool basin with a geotextile slip sheet. Ensure full adhesion, heat-welding, and stainless-steel mechanical fasteners.
- Skimmer and Drainage System: Replace the existing skimmer assembly, upgrade downstream drainage piping to 2" diameter, and replace the existing channel drain with a 5" wide channel drain, extending it an additional 8 ft.
- Pool Features: Install one central sprayer, two side jet nozzles, and a new vertical central spray nozzle. Abandon and plug existing penetrations.
- Enclosure: Replace the entry gate to the kiddie pool enclosure.
The contractor is responsible for all design work, including site investigations, preparation of contract documents (construction drawings, schedules, design analysis), and ensuring constructability and code compliance (UFCs, ETLs, local/national codes, Columbus AFB standards).
