Scope of Work
The contractor will perform comprehensive repair and replacement services for twelve (12) exhaust fan and stack assemblies (11 fume hoods and one over-the-counter hood) at the National Science Laboratory-Blakely. Tasks include:
- Disconnecting existing 115V electrical.
- Removing existing exhaust fans and zero pressure caps.
- Installing new PVC flex connectors, exhaust fans, and PVC exhaust stacks with guy wires.
- Completing new electrical connections (reconnecting existing wiring unless damaged).
- Replacing all eleven fume hood alarms with new, compatible units.
- Testing fume hoods per OSHA requirements, calibrating alarms, and providing OSHA certified performance reports.
- Replacing or repairing all inoperable fume hood lights (currently 3).
- Removing all debris and ensuring a clean, safe working environment. The work must be completed with minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
