The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to procure the following services on a Sole Source basis from Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Walpole, MA (RRMNA):
Repair of Waterjet and Impeller Drive Shaft assemblies for Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS-1) ships. The scope of this contemplated contract will include the repair and repackaging of the following assets:
- 172AX MK1 Boost Waterjet Assembly
- 172AX MK1 Steerable Waterjet Assembly
- Impeller Drive Shaft Assembly
A detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the required services is included in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) document. Award of a Single, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract is intended.
This contemplated contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a sole source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
