Quick Summary
The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (SER WEST) is soliciting proposals for a Firm Fixed-Price contract to replace the backup generator at the Melrose Mansion, Natchez National Historical Park, Mississippi. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires a complete turnkey solution for a new minimum 100 kW standby generator and 400-amp automatic transfer switch. Proposals are due May 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT.
Scope of Work
The project involves the disconnection and removal of the existing generator and ATS, followed by the furnishing and installation of a new minimum 100 kW standby-rated, 3-phase, 120/208V, 60 Hz, natural gas generator and a new minimum 400-amp ATS. Both enclosures must be powder-coated aluminum, wind-rated to 180 MPH, and finished in dark forest green. The installation will occur on the existing pad without modification.
The scope includes all necessary electrical connections, grounding, code-required modifications, commissioning, full load testing, and end-user training. Contractors must provide complete closeout documentation, including warranties, O&M manuals, and as-builts. Materials-only quotes will not be considered; a complete turnkey solution is required. Replacement of the existing roof structure or building-to-transfer-switch wiring is not included unless specifically amended, but contractors must account for temporary removal and reinstallation of the roof structure if necessary. New generator exhaust must comply with manufacturer requirements and codes, with any modifications included in the price.
