• Removal and Disposal: Disconnect and dispose of two existing jacketed storage tanks. Prepare the site for new installations.

• Supply and Install: Provide, deliver, and install two new insulated and jacketed storage tank units. Each unit must have a 500-gallon capacity, a 1½" cement lining, stainless steel threaded openings, a high-quality primer paint finish, a minimum of 3" thick fiberglass insulation (per ASHRAE standards), and a minimum 20-gauge steel jacket with enamel paint coating. The units will feature a 2-pass 316 stainless steel coil head, copper-lined bolt tube sheet, and double-wall copper tubes with gaskets.

• Ancillary Work: Install new gauges, piping, and valves up to the first shut-off valve.

• Testing: Ensure proper operation of all devices, safety switches, and pressure relief valves, and conduct a pressure test upon completion.

• Startup: Provide startup services after completion.

• The project is located at FCI Marion, 4500 Prison Road, Marion, IL.

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Work outside the secure perimeter is allowed between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Work inside the secure perimeter is allowed between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

• Contractor Use of Premises: Limited to work indicated; coordinate with FBOP Project Representative. Visitors must register. No personal visitors for employees. Strict adherence to entry/exit procedures and security check-ins is required.

• Contraband: Prohibited (intoxicating beverages, drugs, weapons).

• Explosives: Forbidden without prior written authorization.

• Cell Phones/Pagers/Radios: Not allowed within the secure perimeter.

• Parking: Provided by the Contractor at an approved location.

• Temporary Office: Location to be approved by FBOP Project Representative.

• Site Layout: Coordinate staging and stockpiles with FBOP Project Representative.

• Protection: Protect work and materials from weather and damage.

• Personnel Security: Contractor employees will undergo background investigations and must wear clearance badges within the secure perimeter. They will be escorted by institution staff.

• Tools: Inventoried daily; must be under constant supervision within the secure perimeter. No explosive action tools allowed. Materials brought inside are limited to a one-day supply.

• Orientation: Contractor employees must undergo general institution orientation.

• Prohibited Items: Weapons, ammunition, contraband, and unauthorized correspondence are forbidden.

• Submittals: Contractor must review and approve submittals before submitting to the FBOP Project Representative.

• Construction Schedule: Detailed schedule required, updated monthly.

• Quality Assurance: Adhere to Buy American Act and ensure compatibility of materials.

• Warranties: Standard contract clauses apply, plus specific warranties as required by specification sections. A one-year warranty from substantial completion is required.
