Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, specifically COMMANDER, is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for a mature, production-ready Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Family of Vehicles (FoV) capability and associated trailers. This effort supports Marine Corps operational requirements and is consistent with the April 2025 Executive Order on commercial solutions. The government is not seeking a new development effort but rather existing, JLTV-like, or comparable light tactical vehicle solutions. Responses are due by June 10, 2026, at 1400 Eastern Standard Time.
Scope of Interest & Key Requirements
The government is interested in existing JLTV, JLTV-like, or substantially comparable light tactical vehicle solutions, including vehicles, variants (utility, general purpose, heavy-guns carrier, shelter carrier), companion trailers, kits, mission packages, and support systems. These solutions should be currently in production, previously fielded, qualified, or rapidly adaptable. Key characteristics include:

- Towing capacity: Up to 7,500 lbs
- Scalable crew protection (A-kit/B-kit armor)
- 60-inch fording capability and environmental protection
- Ability to meet Marine Corps Mission Profile (70% off-road)
- 10KW On-Board Vehicle Power
- Commonality of parts between truck and trailer, with trailer compatibility
- ABS/ESC capable, front and rear facing cameras
- Use of existing logistics and training resources
- Vehicle CANBUS & C5ISR networks compliant with DoDI 8500.01 & 8510.01
The scope also includes mission package integration, C5ISR integration, armor/survivability solutions, transportability configurations, logistics support, spares, training, technical data, and production capacity.
