Quick Summary

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) for Pipe Bending Machines. This RFI aims to determine vendor interest and capability in providing Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE), potentially including in-country training. Responses are due by February 20, 2026, 5:00 PM EST.

Scope of Work

The RFI seeks information on vendors capable of providing 13 Pipe Bending Machines (CLIN 0001). Specific technical requirements for the machines include: manual, self-contained, floor-mounted, hydraulic foot-operated, capable of clockwise and counter-clockwise bends, 1.5 inch OD capacity, 8 inch max center line radius, 195-degree max bend arm movement, and 10 ft max over-mandrel tube length. Required tooling includes various bend dies, mandrel rods, clamp dies, pressure dies, a mandrel extractor system, and an angle bend indicator assembly. Vendors must also provide two hard copies and one electronic copy of technical data. The machine must fit through a 12-foot wide doorway. Delivery locations are detailed in an attached document, which lists specific items, quantities, and ultimate ship-to details.

Submission & Evaluation

This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. Responses are limited to five (5) pages and should include company information (UEI, CAGE, POC), GSA contract details, capabilities, experience, and anticipated teaming/subcontracting. The government will use responses to determine potential contract types, structure, and assess if there are two or more capable small businesses to support a small business set-aside.

Eligibility / Set-Aside

The government is conducting market research to assess the feasibility of a small business set-aside. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to identify their capabilities. GSA Schedule contractors are encouraged to form Contracting Team Arrangements (CTAs).

Installation, training, or additional options beyond the standard package are not included. A Request for Quote (RFQ) may be posted via GSA eBuy or SAM.gov. Proprietary information will be protected.
