Purpose & Context
This RFI is for market research and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation. It seeks to identify potential new suppliers for non-human primates, as the Government is required by FAR 12.201-1(e)(3)(v) to maintain awareness of market conditions. The Government may establish additional BPAs, per FAR 12.201-1(e)(3)(ii), to facilitate recurring requirements. DHACA previously awarded two BPAs (HT942524A0001 and HT942524A0002) with an ordering period from November 2023 through November 2028. Responses to this RFI may inform decisions regarding future BPA establishments.
Scope of Requirement
The potential future requirement covers the purchase, testing, quarantine, housing, and shipping of various non-human primates. Specifically, this includes:
- Specific Pathogen-Free Macaca Mulatta (Rhesus) primates (Chinese or Indian origin)
- Macaca Fascicularis (Cynomolgus) primates (Chinese or Mauritius origin)
- Cercopithecus Aethiops (African Green) primates
- Callithrix Jacchus marmosets

Interested parties are requested to submit a capabilities statement of no more than three (3) pages in length, using Times New Roman font (not less than 10 pitch).
