Quick Summary
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) for food storage services in Thailand. This RFI specifically seeks information regarding contracts for the storage of Operational Rations, Government Furnished Equipment (GFM), and Local Market Ready (LMR) products for military and authorized land customers. This is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to a future solicitation. Responses are due by April 16, 2026.
Scope of Work
This RFI is solely focused on the storage of GFM and LMR products at an Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) facility in Thailand. It is not for full food service Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) support. Key capabilities of interest include:
- Warehousing and inventory management.
- Quality control, quality assurance, and inspections.
- Ability to use the Defense Transportation System (DTS) for product movement from CONUS, including entering agreements with USTRANSCOM carriers.
- Capability to source and manage Local Market Ready (LMR) items (e.g., fresh produce, eggs) from the local economy, including managing short shelf-life products.
- Ability to meet customer delivery schedules, typically within 2 days.
Vendors are asked to provide company information (name, POC, CAGE Code), confirm their ability to perform the requirements, state if they are a U.S. domestic or foreign entity, identify their business size (large/small), detail their warehouse platforms in Thailand, and address potential issues with DTS and USTRANSCOM agreements.
