- Planning, packaging, transportation, treatment, and disposal of high-hazard waste.
- Handling of chemical agents, biological agents, and other high-hazard chemicals (e.g., >1 VSL and <1 VSL solid waste, caustic hydrolysate, liquid decontamination solution, chemical agent ton containers, deactivated biological agent secondary waste, narcotics).
- Potential support for on-site decontamination/treatment operations and developing onsite waste destruction systems.
- Providing waste management and disposal solutions for other Federal Agencies (e.g., DHS, DEA, EPA).
- Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, including NIH Guidelines and international laws for OCONUS work.
- Maintaining required permits for hazardous waste handling, transportation, and disposal.
- Providing hazardous waste manifests and Certificates of Destruction (COD), with waste incineration required within 30 calendar days of acceptance.
