Purpose
NAMRU SOUTH's mission is to ensure the operational readiness and health of U.S. Service members and Peruvian national partners through health sciences research, infectious disease surveillance, medical countermeasure testing and evaluation, and health security cooperation. This RFI seeks to identify contractors capable of providing non-personal research and development support services.
Scope of Work
The contractor will provide managerial, administrative, and direct labor support for research activities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Research Support: Vaccine trials, drug studies, testing and evaluation of new technologies, epidemiologic studies, and bio-surveillance of infectious diseases (e.g., malaria, bacterial causes of infectious diarrhea, emerging viral pathogens like dengue, chikungunya, Zika, influenza viruses, and multi-drug resistant bacteria).
- Vector Surveillance: Surveillance of vectors and development/evaluation of devices and therapeutic countermeasures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support for data collection and regulated studies, ensuring adherence to FDA regulatory standards, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
- Departmental Support: Services across Bacteriology, Entomology, Parasitology, Virology, Research Administration, Clinical Trials, and Veterinary Services.
