This includes R&D support for chemical/biological (CB) and multifunctional protection technologies, from technology inception to transition. Support encompasses research, development, maturation, demonstration, and transition of new technologies, as well as providing Science and Technology (S&T) solutions for sustaining fielded technologies. Activities include analysis of CB, ballistic, and flame-resistant protection technologies; market surveys; identification of emerging requirements; materials and design concept development; fabrication of design concept prototypes; laboratory tests; field demonstrations; and comprehensive analysis, reporting, and documentation.
