The property is within the Battle Road Unit of Minute Man National Historical Park.
Lease Terms & Responsibilities
- Use: The property is suitable for low-impact, non-transient, residential occupancy. The lessee must maintain the historic and well-tended appearance of the structure and grounds.
- Term: The lease will have a maximum term of three years and a minimum term of one year.
- Rent: The fair market value rent is $40,800 annually, payable in equal monthly installments of $3,400. The first month's payment is due with the executed lease. This is a "Net Lease," meaning the Lessee is responsible for all costs and expenses related to the Premises.
- Maintenance: The lessee is responsible for all utilities and routine maintenance. The lessor (NPS) will perform basic maintenance as described in the lease.
- Prohibited Uses: Any use not permissible under 36 C.F.R. Part 18, or uses that are dangerous, cause nuisance, involve substantial hazard, harm park resources/visitors, or result in hazardous material discharge. Fire pits and open fire-generating equipment are prohibited.
Eligibility & Submission
- Eligibility: This lease opportunity is open to all interested persons on a competitive basis. Applicants must be 18 years or older, provide photo ID, demonstrate two years of verifiable rental history or home ownership, and show proof of funds equivalent to at least three times the monthly rent. A satisfactory credit report, verifiable income (maintained for at least 90 days), and no prior convictions or pending felony charges are required. Applicants must be compliant with current NPS lease obligations and not be debarred or suspended.
