Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI #2) for market research purposes to plan a potential Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) for Architect-Engineer (A-E) Facilities Support and Environmental Services. This effort will support various AFRC installations across the continental United States, with a projected value exceeding $100M. Responses are due by April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST.
Purpose of RFI
This is the second RFI for this requirement, building on initial market research. Its primary purpose is to present the Government's proposed acquisition strategy to industry for final comments and validation before drafting a formal solicitation. The feedback will refine the scope, structure, and terms of the future solicitation. The Contracting Officer may host one-on-one meetings with adequate respondents.
Scope of Work
The anticipated IDIQ(s) will cover comprehensive A-E services, including planning, design, and construction management for maintenance, repair, alteration, and new construction projects. Services are multi-disciplinary, encompassing architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and real property services. Deliverables will include design documents, reports, cost and schedule estimates, and construction progress monitoring. All work must adhere to Local, State, National, and DOD standards, with an emphasis on sustainability, environmental compliance, and security regulations.
Anticipated Contract Details
The Government anticipates awarding one or more IDIQ contracts with a continuous five-year ordering period. Individual task orders will be Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP). While the overall program is projected at $100M+, the draft Statement of Work indicates individual contracts may not exceed $10,000,000 per year, with delivery orders capped at $1,500,000. The tentative NAICS Code is 541330 – Engineering Services. A contract award is projected for FY27. No set-aside is specified for this RFI.
