Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force (ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center) is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors capable of providing innovative and readily deployable tactical communications solutions. These solutions are intended to support expeditionary operations in contested, forward-deployed environments. Responses are due by February 25, 2026.

Scope of Interest

The RFI focuses on technologies that demonstrate:

  • Communication Infrastructure: Multi-path transport networks (SATCOM, LOS radio, 5G/LTE, HF/UHF).
  • Networking Capabilities: Routing, switching, edge computing, application-level QoS, and dynamic network traffic management.
  • Security Solutions: Zero Trust architectures, encryption, authentication, access control, cyber resiliency, and secure cross-domain data sharing, with a desire for centralized management.
  • Classified Solutions: Mobile solutions leveraging Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) for secure SIPRNET access, aiming for user-friendliness and administrative efficiency, adhering to NSA's Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP).
  • Antenna Systems: Deployable LPI/LPD techniques.
  • Power Solutions: Reliable, portable, and efficient (SWaP-optimized, battery, generator-compatible).
  • Integration Services: Capabilities for integrating with government-provided network backbones and existing military systems.

Solutions should also exhibit rapid deployability, resilience, robust security, interoperability with USAF infrastructure, scalability, low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP), ease of use, and a Technical Readiness Level (TRL) of 7 or above.
