RFI - Evapco AT212-2H9 Cooling Towers

Request for Information (RFI)

This RFI is issued by the 502D Contracting Squadron for market research purposes. The government is seeking information to identify contractors capable of providing and installing a specific Evapco cooling tower model (AT212-2H9) and to gather cost information. This is a voluntary request and not a solicitation for a future contract award.

The core requirement is the removal and replacement of an existing Evapco cooling tower with a new Evapco AT212-2H9, two-cell, induced draft, counterflow cooling tower. Key characteristics include:

• Construction: All Type 304 stainless steel upper panels, mechanical support, fan screen, and basins with factory-welded seams.
• Motors: One 7 ½ HP inverter duty TEFC fan motor per cell, located out of the moist air stream, with AEGIS shaft grounding rings.
• Components: PVC drift eliminators (.001% drift loss), SCH 40 PVC spray distribution system, PVC cross-fluted fill, PVC air inlet louvers with stainless steel frames.
• Connections: 8" end inlet and outlet connections (BFW/Grooved).
• Ancillary Equipment: Vibration cutout switches, electric basin heaters (5Kw per cell) with LWCO & TSTAT, equalizer connections, and an external service platform with a vertical ladder and safety cage (shipped loose for field installation).
• Warranty: Five-year total product warranty, including the fan motor.
• Dimensions: 12’ 4 7/8” W x 8’ 5 ½” L x 11’ 4 ¼” H.

Interested companies should provide delivery terms and pricing for the specified equipment. Responses should also indicate if the company is a small business and identify any socio-economic concerns. Additionally, companies must state if they are an Evapco authorized reseller.
