Synopsis: This notice is published in accordance with FAR 10.002 and 15.201(e) and is a Request for Information (RFI) only in support of market research.

The Government’s intent is to identify qualified companies capable of developing and manufacturing Explosive Linear Actuators for the Homing All Way Killer (HAWK) Missile System, NSN 1336-00-155-3378, Army Part Number 10669794 revision U and 10183005 revision M, PSC 1336, NAICS code 336419.

Performance of this effort requires the Contractor to have a complete and comprehensive knowledge of the HAWK system, plus instant access to both current documentation and future changes. Manufacturing of the HAWK Explosive Linear Actuators require a facility capable of handling and processing CLASS V explosives and technical expertise in chemistry and explosives. This requirement is for the purchase of new Explosive Linear Actuators unique to the HAWK Missile Systems that are already in the field.

This RFI does not include the draft Statement of Work (SOW) as it contains Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).  Interested contractors must formally request a copy via email to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist listed below.  The government has discretion for authorizing release of the SOW to those deemed qualified so please include a brief qualifications narrative for the HAWK system as stated above.

Any interested parties must comply with the above. All information received will be used only for planning purposes. It shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid, Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to respond, or to acquire any products or services.

Any response to this RFI will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of Contractor submission of responses to this RFI to the Government for use of such information. The information provided may be used by the Army in developing its Acquisition Strategy, Statement of Work/Statement of Objectives or Performance Specifications. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If the Government issues a solicitation, it will be synopsized on the System Award Management (SAM.GOV) website. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor SAM.GOV for additional information pertaining to this requirement
