Statement of Need for Hardware/Software

This document outlines the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) need for one (1) Mimaki JFX200-2513EX UV Flatbed Printer. The printer is required to enhance DIA's Printing Services' capability to produce communication products, supporting the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This is a non-personal services contract.

• Equipment: One (1) Mimaki JFX200-2513EX UV Flatbed Printer system.

• System Components: Must include an 8-channel ink supply system (accommodating C, M, Y, K, White, Clear, Primer), 1-liter ink bottles per channel, on-demand Piezo print heads, RasterLink 7 RIP software, an ionizer kit, LED-UV curing, a single-phase vacuum unit, a foot switch for vacuum control, and a two-layer print function.

• Printing Capabilities: Ability to print on media up to 2" thick, with a media print area up to 98.4x51.2", and zero drying time. Must have a built-in display.

• Software: Associated accessories and software that deliver outstanding performance, economic efficiency, and quality enhancements.

• Training: Vendor must provide training to DIA personnel on the equipment, accessories, and software.

• Installation: Delivery, uncrating, installation, calibration, and configuration of the printer and associated items. Installation must have minimal impact on daily operations and be completed within ten (10) days of notification.

• Warranty: Minimum 1-Year extended warranty, including new original manufacturer parts and labor for maintenance.

• Documentation: Proposal must include a drawing to scale with dimensions, electric and pneumatic connection requirements, and required free space.

• Period of Performance: Items are needed by September 30, 2026.

• Delivery Location: DLOC, c/o Ikun, LLC, 3300 75th Avenue - Rear Entrance, Landover, MD 20785.

• Software Delivery: To Defense Intelligence Agency Attn: Rodney Dewindt, 7400 Pentagon Washington, DC 20301-7400.

Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)

This RFI is for market research purposes to determine the capability of potential sources for "Heavy machinery and equipment repair and maintenance services" (NAICS Code 811310), specifically related to Mimaki UV Flatbed Printers. The government is seeking industry input to identify a more precise NAICS code and to inform the acquisition strategy, which may include a set-aside or full and open competition. This is not a request for offers, quotes, or proposals, and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.

Interested businesses are requested to submit a capabilities statement detailing their ability to perform all aspects of the notice. This statement should include:

• Company Profile: Organization details, business size status, SAM Unique Entity ID, CAGE code, recommended NAICS and contract type, socio-economic status, certifications, GSA/NASA SWEP Schedules, and details on how maintenance and training will be provided.

• Relevant/Recent Experience: Efforts of similar size and scope, specifically demonstrating the ability to provide the flatbed printer, maintenance, and training within the last three years. Project descriptions, contract numbers, values, and agency points of contact are required.
