This document is a sources sought synopsis to identify potential sources capable of providing educational unmanned aerial systems (UAS) platforms. The goal is to expose cadets to aviation principles, coding, systems integration, automation concepts, teamwork, and technical problem-solving within a structured learning environment aligned with AFJROTC aerospace and STEM objectives. The feedback received will help determine the appropriate acquisition strategy.

• This is not a solicitation; do not submit quotations.
• The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this synopsis.
• Responses may be incorporated into a future solicitation; avoid submitting competition-sensitive or proprietary information.
• No costs incurred in responding will be reimbursed.
• Oral submissions will not be considered.

1. General Information:
   • Company name, address, contact details (voice, fax, email).
   • Type of business (e.g., small, woman-owned, HUBZone) and NAICS code (339930) with size standard.
   • NAICS code under which the company usually provides these services, with rationale if different from 339930.
   • Customary commercial contract terms or conditions that would enhance contract effectiveness.
2. Capabilities:
   • Confirmation of capability to meet the requirement (Yes/No).
   • If "Yes," provide up to two (2) recent and relevant contract references (within the last 3 years), including details like name, address, phone, email, contract number, total value, and period of performance for similar work.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To procure a "Competition Drone Bundle" for Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) programs to provide cadets with hands-on STEM learning opportunities, enhance engagement with aerospace concepts, and develop critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and technical skills through the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) technology. This platform will serve as an intermediate-level instructional system.

The "Competition Drone Bundle" includes:

• A Welcome Kit with team registration
• One Drone with specific physical characteristics (Section 889 Compliant, ~190mm x 220mm, max 249g, 7.4v Lithium Polymer Battery, Brushless DC Motors, permanent 360-degree propeller duct).
• Drone Electronics featuring forward and downward-facing cameras, optical position stabilization, navigation, gyroscopes, accelerometers, rangefinders for altitude and obstacle detection, and 2 GB storage.
• One Drone Controller with a 5" LCD Color screen, dual joysticks, configurable buttons, and connectivity options.
• Coding capabilities using graphical blocks and Python, compatible with Windows, Mac, Chromebook, and Tablets.
• Three Drone Modules for passive object manipulation, motorized object manipulation, and magnetic object pickup/drop-off.
• Content including Drone Curriculum, Professional Development materials, and Documentation.
• Additional Specifications include an Advanced Camera System with dual cameras for aerial flying and object detection, a Touch Screen Controller with video streaming, and a Sensor Array for navigation and coding precision.

Delivery is on an on-demand basis to locations listed in the JROTC Unit List (Appendix A), initiated within five working days of request. Addresses are subject to change.

• Items must be brand new; refurbished or used items are not authorized.
• Contractor shall provide training to AFJROTC instructors on curriculum, building, coding, and flying of the drone package with each delivery order.
• Contractor shall provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standard commercial warranty at no additional cost.
• Prior to project acceptance, the contractor must provide all manufacturer warranties, equipment manuals, literature, CDs/DVDs, written procedures, points of contact, and warranty service information.
