Purpose
This is a Sources Sought synopsis, not a solicitation, issued by the 42d Contracting Squadron (FA3300 42 CONS CC). The purpose is to gather information from industry to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for the required AV system upgrade. Feedback received may be incorporated into a future solicitation.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for a contractor to furnish all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, and materials to install a new full audio and visual system. This includes:
- Installation of a new 4K display (at least 65", TAA compliant).
- Installation of an AV Bar solution (TAA compliant, with camera, sound, and mic capabilities for Microsoft TEAMS, 120-degree FOV, 1080p resolution, auto-framing).
- Installation of a sound masking solution (22ft x 10ft perimeter, TAA compliant, calibrated to 45-48 dB, Speech Privacy Index of 85).
- Installation of two all-wired control panels for switching HDMI inputs and controlling audio/video.
- Ensuring compatibility with Microsoft TEAMS and other US government teleconference software on a secure network.
- Removal of pre-existing furniture and fixtures to Building 880.
- Installation of plenum-rated cabling adhering to Federal and Military Cabling standards (T568B).
- Providing training on the operation and maintenance of the new AV solution.
- Installation of sound dampening materials on the walls and door of Room 120B.
Key Requirements & Standards
All components must be TAA compliant and brand new, with a standard OEM commercial warranty. Electrical installations require a certified electrician. A 1-year warranty on installation services is also required. Contractors must possess a Facility Clearance Letter (FCL) to work on the Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR).
