Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all necessary resources to:
- Furnish and install new Absolyte VRLA battery cells (Model 100G29, one string of 24 each), modular steel tray housings, Positive +/Negative – terminate plates, and Frame Retardant Transparent Module Covers for one Communications Node at Fort Carson, CO.
- Ensure new battery cells are the same brand and equal in amp-hours, not refurbished or renewed.
- Dismantle and remove existing GNB Absolyte VRLA battery cells and associated components.
- Reconnect existing Alarm/Control unit cable hardness and reinstall Ni-Cad Neutra Mat.
- Perform a battery load test to verify the system supports 500A for 2.00 hours.
- Label each new battery with a unique, mechanically printed identification number.
- Dispose of old batteries in accordance with Colorado and EPA environmental guidelines.

Performance Standards
- Battery cells must maintain a minimum of 54 volts DC.
- System must support 500A for 2.00 hours during load test.
- Float voltage maintained at 6.81–6.84 Vdc at 25 °C.
- Minimum rated capacity: ≥ 6000 Wh at 8-hour rate (C8/1.75 Vpc) and ≥ 540 Ah at 10-hour rate (C10/1.75 Vpc).
- Warranty: Five years or OEM warranty, whichever is longer.
Special Requirements
- This is a non-personal service contract.
- Contractor must protect floor surfaces and visually inspect new components for damage.
