Scope of Work
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) seeks contractors to perform reconditioning and repair services essential for preparing these roads for upcoming forest thinning and fuels reduction projects. The base scope includes:
- Road Reconditioning: Grading of aggregate and native road surfaces, cleaning and repairing ditch lines, and clearing culvert inlets/outlets.
- Culvert Replacement: Removal of existing damaged metal culverts and installation of new ones, including proper compaction and cover.
- Base Work: Specific grading, cleaning cattleguards, and culvert replacements at designated mile points. Optional work includes:
- Option 1 (NFSR 547): Placement of aggregate road surface course and shoulder stabilization.
- Option 2 (NFSR 164): Shoulder stabilization and culvert top cover.

Contract Details
This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. The estimated start date is May 1, 2026, with a performance period of 180 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed, aiming for completion by October 30, 2026, if all options are exercised. Davis Bacon wages apply. A bid guarantee is required, and for quotes over $150,000, 100% performance and payment bonds are required within 10 calendar days after award. All tasks must adhere to FP-24 standards, as modified by Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS).
