Scope of Work
The objective is to secure the services of an ordained Roman Catholic (RC) priest to provide faith-specific religious ministry to authorized RC personnel, offer leadership and oversight to the RC portion of the Command Religious Program (CRP), and advise the Command Chaplain. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing RC worship, sacramental ministrations (e.g., Mass, Penance, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick, Funeral/Memorial Services).
- Providing RC pastoral care and counseling.
- Conducting and supervising RC religious education and spiritual formation programs (e.g., RCIA, scripture study, CCD).
- Assisting the Command Chaplain in defining and implementing CRP Planned Ministry Objectives (PMOs).
- Managing administrative tasks, including liaison with the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) and presiding over the Catholic Chapel Council.
