Scope of Work
The contractor will provide management, personnel, and materials to operate rotary screw traps and collect data. Key tasks include:
- Operating traps on the American, Stanislaus, and Sacramento Rivers to estimate juvenile Chinook salmon and steelhead production and passage.
- Conducting trap capture-efficiency trials.
- Operating traps seven days a week during high emigration periods (December 1 - May 30) and reduced sampling during lower periods (October 1 - June 30 for tributaries).
- Collecting biological information (length, weight, tissue samples).
- Developing RST database enhancements and providing daily Knights Landing Catch Index (KLCI) values.
- Producing an RST study plan, technical memorandum, daily data uploads (within 24 hours), and annual data bundles.
- Coordinating with Reclamation on data management and scientific tracking.
- Providing secure storage for repair materials, sampling gear, and vehicles. New Y-line cables will be required.

- Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order
- Period of Performance: August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027 (Base Year), with two 1-year option periods extending through July 31, 2029.
- Place of Performance: American River at Watt Avenue Bridge (Sacramento, CA), Stanislaus River at Caswell State Park (Ripon, CA), and Sacramento River upstream of Knights Landing, CA.
