Patrols include searching for illegal camps, contacting suspicious individuals, and enforcement actions. Administrative time for reports can be included in contract hours.
  • Law Enforcement: Enforce State, County, and local laws; make non-federal arrests; issue citations; and provide police reports on Umatilla Project property.
  • Response: Provide a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) onsite within 48 hours for specific investigation requests.
  • Personnel: Officers must be sworn, Oregon-certified LEOs, trained, mentally alert, and comply with the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • Equipment: Contractor to provide certified law enforcement vehicles (other marked LE vehicles like side-by-sides and quads are acceptable for patrols), uniforms, badges, and ammunition. Tasers are permitted for use.
