This includes approximately 5,850 windows with a total of 51,750 square feet of surface area per side. Services entail thorough cleaning of window surfaces, frames, glazing, sills, and screens, ensuring they are free of film, smudges, foreign matter, streaks, and stains. Cleaning also involves removal of dirt, dust, bugs, bird droppings, spider webs, nests, and staining.
Work must adhere to all local, state, and federal guidelines. Contractors may use scaffolding, Bosun's chairs, harnesses, or ladders (for windows 2 stories and below). Industrial man lifts require prior permission. All staff must be trained and certified for equipment use and procedures, and the contractor must comply with all OSHA requirements, including fall protection (CFR 29, Part 1910.140 and Part 1926). Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays. All work must be completed within 31 consecutive days, coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
