Scope of Work (Informational)

The Grand Junction VA Medical Center requires a new contract for trash/waste removal and recycling services. Key requirements include:

  • One (1) 8-yard compactor: Emptied three (3) times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Includes replacement container twice per year and power washing of the cement area.
  • Two (2) 8-yard trash bins: Emptied two (2) times per week.
  • One (1) 30-yard roll-off dumpster: Emptied two (2) times per month.
  • Twelve (12) 96-gallon recycling carts: Emptied weekly for aluminum, paper, plastic, and tin.
  • One (1) cardboard bailer: Leased to the facility, with bale pick-ups every two weeks. Includes installation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Wooden pallet recycling: Pick-ups twice per month, ensuring pallets are recycled and not destroyed.
  • Contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, disposal fees, and maintaining cleanliness around containers and the compactor area. Unscheduled additional pickups may be required.
