Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Network Contracting Office, has issued a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought to identify qualified sources for Ground Maintenance Services at the Saint Louis VA Medical Center-Jefferson Barracks, a 126.65-acre facility in Saint Louis, MO. This RFI is for market research and planning purposes only, aiming to gather information on potential contractors and their size classifications under NAICS 561730. Responses will inform future acquisition decisions and a potential solicitation. Responses are due by January 26, 2026.
Scope of Work
The required services include comprehensive ground maintenance such as cutting, trimming, and maintaining all grass; removing weeds, dead trees, shrubs, limbs, and debris; clearing freshly cut grass from roads and sidewalks; fertilizing grass twice annually; and picking up and disposing of fallen leaves. The contractor will also be responsible for cleaning exterior concrete surfaces (e.g., entrances) and keeping all roads, sidewalks, and parking lots free of debris. Contractors must order necessary landscaping supplies (chemicals, fertilizer, mulch, grass seed), maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and records for chemicals, and possess required licenses for application. All ground equipment must be provided, maintained, and operated by the contractor. Work will be suspended during December, January, and February.
