Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To acquire third-party linen laundry services for the Orlando VA Fisher House, ensuring linens are processed separately from VA patient care linen and handled to hospitality-grade quality standards.

• Provide full-cycle linen services including pickup and delivery of soiled/clean linen.

• Perform sorting, washing, drying, stain removal, finishing, folding, packaging, and labeling.

• Replace damaged items or return them with damage tags.

• Provide monthly usage and inventory reporting.

• Services must adhere to National Association of Institutional Linen Management, International Fabricare Institute, and Textile Rental Services Association standards, using universal precaution methods.

• Two scheduled service days per week (e.g., Monday and Thursday), with additional emergency pickups within 24 hours.

• Linens must be processed according to hospitality-grade standards and manufacturer instructions, free of stains, odors, hair, lint, or residue.

• Finished linens must be wrinkle-free, evenly folded, and neatly packaged.

• No visible stains, tears, or excessive wear; no scent other than neutral/hypoallergenic fresh-clean smell; items must be dry upon delivery.

• Damaged items must be removed from circulation and reported.

• Monthly reports required showing total pounds/items processed, list of damaged/retired linens, and notes on delays or quality issues.

• Typically one base year + four one-year option periods (customizable).

• Delivery Location: Orlando VA Fisher House, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.

• Fisher House linens must not be mixed with healthcare, industrial, or contaminated materials, and must not be commingled with patient care linen from VA facilities.

• Contractor must follow commercial laundry sanitation guidelines and maintain facility cleanliness.

• Contractor must provide a phase-out plan and a written Contingency Plan for service continuity.

• Invoices must be submitted monthly, detailing services, quantities, and costs.
