Scope of Work
The requirement, detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), includes comprehensive hazardous waste treatment and disposal services for VA Rocky Mountain Network (VISN 19) facilities in Montana. Services encompass:
- Disposal of EPA RCRA-defined hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal wastes.
- Recycling, lab pack disposal, and dual waste disposal (hazardous and regulated medical waste).
- Disposal of neutralized DEA controlled substances.
- Provision of container services and spill/release response for hazardous materials/wastes.
- Initial hazardous waste orientation training for VA staff. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, analysis, transportation, documentation, treatment, and disposal.
Period & Place of Performance
- Estimated Contract Period: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2031 (five years).
- Locations: Fort Harrison VA Medical Center (quarterly pickups), Benjamin Charles Steele HHC in Billings (semiannual pickups), and Miles City CLC (annual pickups, with a projected move in January 2027).
