This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for mat services for the Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC). It constitutes the only solicitation, and offers are being requested. A separate written solicitation will not be issued, and a single award is contemplated.

• Provision of mat services, including exchange of floor mats and runners every two weeks.

• Service includes cleaning, pickup, and replacement of mats and runners.

• Mats must be of high quality, heavy traffic, rubber-backed, dirt and moisture trapping, with smooth backs for tiled areas and gripper backs for carpeted areas.

• Mats must be a minimum of 3/8" thick, heavy weight, and certified slip-resistant.

• Exterior mats and runners must be black with wide trap treads.

• Mats and runners must be free of stains, tears, and holes; minor tears, open seams, or stains are not acceptable.

• Mats and runners must lay flat to avoid safety hazards.

• Mats and runners will be exchanged whether soiled or not.

• Replacement of mats and runners due to normal wear and tear is at no charge to the customer.

• Service areas include interior door areas, front and back doors, north, southeast, and west entrances.
