Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To install 100 linear feet of removable safety guardrails to provide fall protection at Bldg. 2592A Van Bay, while allowing for temporary removal to facilitate material handling.

• Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision.

• Perform a site assessment to verify measurements and anchor points.

• Procure and provide 100 linear feet of pre-engineered, modular, or custom-fabricated removable safety rails.

• Install receiver brackets/sleeves and railing sections per manufacturer specifications.

• Ensure railing sections are removable by a single person without specialized tools.

• Railing systems must comply with OSHA 1910.29 (General Industry) and/or 1926.502 (Construction) standards.

• Top rail height: 42 inches (±3 inches) above the working surface.

• Strength: System must withstand a force of at least 200 pounds.

• Material: Galvanized steel or aluminum.

• Components: Top rail, mid-rail, and receiver brackets for floor mounting.

• Finish: Powder-coated yellow for high visibility.

• Field verify all measurements prior to fabrication.

• Maintain a safe work area using barricades.

• Repair or replace any surfaces damaged during installation at no cost to the owner.

• Clean the work site daily, removing debris, scrap materials, and tools.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items to procure the installation of removable safety guardrails for fall protection at Bldg.2592A Van Bay, USACE Mission Support Battalion. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters requires this service.
